AN ORDINANCE, confirming a contract with J.S. Alberici
Construction Co., Inc. for the construction of the Bissell Point
Sludge Disposal Improvements (BP-9, C-89108), at the Bissell Point
Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District, with an
emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to J.S. Alberici Construction Co., Inc. as the
lowest responsible bidder, for the construction of the Bissell
Point Sludge Disposal Improvements (BP-9, C-89108), at the Bissell
Point Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District pursuant
to bids received and opened on the 20th day of July, 1989, and
formally executed on the 8th day of August, 1989, by said
contractor and by the Executive Director and the Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Two. The provisions of the Clean Water Act of
the United States of America require that this project proceed
without delay, thus creating an emergency within the meaning of
the Plan. Accordingly, this ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 9, 1989.
