RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING AMENDMENT
NO. 7 TO JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE
INDEPENDENT CITIES LEASE FINANCE
AUTHORITY AND PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS
PROPERLY RELATING THERETO
WHEREAS, certain cities of the State of California (collectively, the
"Members") have entered into a Joint Powers Agreement Creating the
Independent Cities Lease Finance Authority (the "Joint Powers Agreement"),
establishing the Independent Cities Lease Finance Authority (the "Authority") and
prescribing its purposes and powers; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Authority has approved
Amendment No. 7 to the Joint Powers Agreement, amending the Joint Powers
Agreement to reflect the name change of the' organization to the Independent
Cities Finance Authority.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1: Approval of Amendment No. 7 to Joint Powers Agreement.
This City Council hereby approves Amendment No. 7 to Joint Powers Agreement
and authorizes the Mayor or the Mayor Pro Tem to execute and the City Clerk to
attest the Amendment No. 7, in substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit
A and incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 2: Certification. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to certify to the adoption of this Resolution and to transmit a certified copy hereof
and an executed copy of the Amendment No. 7 to the Independent Cities Lease
Finance Authority.
Section 3: Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect from and
after the date of its passage and adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 2008.
