HomeMy Public PortalAbout07961������*���_ R D I N A N C E NO. 7961 6r AN ORDINANCE, authorizing and directing the Executive Director and Secretaryi�Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with the City of St. Louis for the implementation and administration of a program whereby repairs are to be made to leaking lateral sewer lines of certain dwelling units in the City of St. Louis from any sewer main to the boundary line of the public or private right of way and to enter into contracts with those plumbers or drainlayers who have submitted the lowest and most responsive unit price bids for sewer lateral repairs. WHEREAS, the voters of the City of St. Louis approved said program by an election held on August 8, 1989, and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 61364 of the City of St. Louis, as adopted June 9, 1989, authorized said City to enter into a contract with the District for the implementation and administration of said program, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: �|ection One.�0 The Executive Director and Secretaryj�Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with the City of St. Louis for the implementation and administration of a program whereby repairs are to be made to leaking lateral sewer lines of certain dwelling units in the City of St. Louis from any sewer main to the boundary line of the��h�� public or private right of way. �|ection Two.�0 The Executive Director and Secretaryj�Treasurer are hereby further authorized and directed, on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, during the duration of the contract referred to in Section One hereof, to enter into contracts with those plumbers or drainlayers, licensed by the City of St. Louis who have submitted the lowest and most responsive unit price bids to make sewer lateral repairs in the seven (7) designated geographical areas of the City of St. Louis (as designated in Exhibit B of the aforesaid contract between the City of St. Louis and The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District). �|ection Three.�0 The contracts as authorized in Section One and Section Two of this Ordinance shall be comprised of such terms and conditions as are approved by the office of the General Counsel of the District. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 20, 1989.
