RESOLUTION NO. 75-1474
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY COMMENDING
FORMER MISS TEMPLE CITY JANET CARR UPON HER SEL-
ECTION AS MISS CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, Miss Janet Carr, while a student at Temple
City High School, served the City of Temple City with great
dedication as Miss Temple City in 1970 -1971; and
WHEREAS, she has subsequently brought added •distinction
to our community by being selected as Queen of the Orange
Show and a Princess of the Tournament of Roses; and
WHEREAS, Miss Carr has now been selected to represent
all California in the Miss America Pageant as "Miss California ",
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Temple
City hereby officially commends and honors Miss Janet Carr
upon her distinctive achievement in being selected as Miss
California and hereby designated her to be also the Bicentennial
Representative of Goodwill of the City of Temple City to the
other states and territories of the United States of America,,
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of July, 1975.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a
regular meeting held on the 15th day of July, 1975, by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmen - Dennis, Greenberg, Merritt, Gilbertson
NOES: Councilmen -None
ABSENT: Councilmen- Tyrell
