A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING THE MANNING ~ HARDER, KASS,
ELLROD, RAMIREZ LLP AGREEMENT FOR PERSONNEL
BOARD LEGAL COUNSEL

WHEREAS, the cost of professional legal services are annually budgeted by the
City; and
WHEREAS, the Personnel Board has an immediate and ongoing need for
independent third-party legal counsel; and
WHEREAS, MANNING & HARDER, KASS, ELLROD, RAMIREZ LLP
(MMKER), LLP, is atop-ranked firm with extensive experience in such matters;
and
WHEREAS, the City and MMKER agreement is mutually acceptable to the City
and Firm;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Lynwood hereby finds, orders and resolves as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby approves the
form of the City-MMKER Agreement attached hereto.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Agreement.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of May, 2008.
