A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
RESPECTFULLY ASKING OUR STATE ASSEMBLYMEMBER HECTOR DE
LA TORRE TO SPONSOR LEGISLATION IN SUPPORT OF A THIRTY YEAR
ARMORY LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA MILITARY
DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, The Armory property in the City of Lynwood has been
vacant for a number of years; and
WHEREAS, The Armory vacancy provides an opportunity for the City
to enter into a 30 year lease agreement with the California Military Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby, find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1: That the City Council respectfully asks our state
Assemblymember Hector De La Torre to sponsor legislation in support of a thirty
(30) year armory lease agreement with the California Military Department.
Section 2: The City of Lynwood with prior approval from the
California Military Department, intends to renovate the Armory building to house
City departments.
Section 3: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption..
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 3~d day of June, 2008.
