HomeMy Public PortalAbout08179������*���_ R D I N A N C E NO. 81796r AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) from the Mississippi River Operating Fund to be used for project costs for emergency sewer repairs and engineering in Emergency Repair #004 Arsenal and Broadway (91017), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Fred Weber, Inc. for the aforesaid emergency sewer repairs, in compliance with Ordinance No. 164, adopted November 4, 1957, as amended by Ordinance No. 199, adopted May 26, 1958, with an emergency clause. WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the abovei�named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: �|ection One.�0 The sum of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Mississippi River Operating Fund to be used for project costs for emergency sewer repairs and engineering in Emergency Repair #004 Arsenal and Broadway (91017), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. �|ection Two.�0 The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Fred Weber, Inc. for emergency sewer repairs and engineering in Emergency Repair #004 Arsenal and Broadway (91017), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and formally executed on the 11th day of September, 1990 by said contractor and by the��h�� Executive Director and Secretaryi�Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed in compliance with Ordinance No. 164, adopted November 4, 1957, as amended by Ordinance No. 199, adopted May 26, 1958. �|ection Three.�0 This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, and the fact that the emergency sewer repairs as provided for herein are necessary for the protection of the public health, and must proceed without delay, create an emergency within the meaning of the Plan. Accordingly, this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 12, 1990.
