A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE STREET CLOSURE ON FERNWOOD AVENUE BET1iVEEN
HARRIS AVENUE AND ELM STREET
WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity has requested a street closure to
host a build event called Power Women Power Tools; and
WHEREAS, the California Vehicle Code Section 21101 (e) requires
an ordinance or resolution prior to temporarily closing a portion of a street for
celebrations, local special events, and other purposes; and
WHEREAS, the applicant will pay City fees associated with the
street closure; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council approves the street closure on
Fernwood Avenue between Harris Avenue and Elm Street.
Section 2. Appropriate signs giving notice of the traffic closure
restrictions shall be posted at all entrances to Fernwood Avenue per vehicle code
section 21103.
