AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Seven Thousand
Dollars ($407,000.00) from the General Fund of the District to be
used for project costs for the renovation of the mechanical and
electrical systems and construction of additional office space in
East Wing Basement Renovation (90096) at 2000 Hampton Avenue, in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and confirming a contract with R.
Henderson & Sons, Inc. for said renovation and construction, in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for said renovation and construction
is Three Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($325,000.00), and
the cost of engineering, inspection, advertisement costs and
allowance for construction change orders is Eighty-two Thousand
Dollars ($82,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Seven Thousand
Dollars ($407,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund
of the District to be used for project costs for the renovation of
the mechanical and electrical systems and construction of
additional office space in East Wing Basement Renovation (90096)
at 2000 Hampton Avenue, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to R. Henderson & Sons, Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the renovation of the mechanical and
electrical systems and construction of additional office space in
East Wing Basement Renovation (90096) at 2000 Hampton Avenue, in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 1st
day of November, 1990 and formally executed on the 19th day of
November, 1990 by said contractor and by the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby
confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the
District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 9, 1991.
