AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of One Million
Six Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($1,610,000.00) from the Clean Water Capital
Improvement Trust Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the
Bissell Point Trickling Filters (BP-4, 90216) at the Bissell Point Wastewater
Treatment Plant, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and confirming a contract
with Goodwin Bros. Construction Co. for the construction of the aforesaid
contract, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, Ordinance Nos. 8167, 8168, 8169 and 8170, adopted
September 12, 1990 appropriated the initial funding for the Trickling Filter
Influent Pumps, Trickling Filter Media, Rotary Distributors and Ventilation
Scrubber Systems which have been assigned to this contract for installation,
and
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Trickling Filters is
Twenty-five Million Nine Hundred Ninety-three Thousand Three Hundred Twenty
Dollars ($25,993,320.00), and the allowance for change orders is One Million
Three Hundred Six Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Dollars ($1,306,680.00), and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 7.120 of the Plan of the District, the
appropriation effected herein will not result in a deficit at the end of the
current budget year,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Six Hundred Ten Thousand
Dollars ($1,610,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Clean Water Capital
Improvement Trust Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the
Trickling Filters (BP-4, 90216) at the Bissell Point Wastewater Treatment

Plant, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director
to Goodwin Bros. Construction Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of the Trickling Filters (BP-4, 90216) at the Bissell Point
Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 21st day of November, 1990 and formally executed on the 11th day of
December, 1990 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 9, 1991.
