AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Ten Thousand One Hundred
Fifty Dollars ($710,150.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in FC-1 Fenton Creek Sanitary Relief Sewer -
Phase I (88080), in the City of Fenton, and unincorporated St. Louis County,
Missouri; and confirming a contract with Karsten Equipment Company for the
construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040
of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is
Five Hundred Eighty-three Thousand Eight Hundred Six Dollars ($583,806.00), and
the cost of inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement
charges, and allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Twenty-six
Thousand Three Hundred Forty-four Dollars ($126,344.00), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute Three
Hundred Fifty-two Thousand Four Hundred Forty Dollars ($352,440.00) toward the
total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source,
said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Meramec River Basin, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Ten Thousand One Hundred
Fifty Dollars ($710,150.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,

Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Meramec River Basin to be used
for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FC-1 Fenton Creek
Sanitary Relief Sewer - Phase I (88080), in the City of Fenton and
unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director
to Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in FC-1 Fenton Creek Sanitary Relief Sewer -
Phase I (88080), in the City of Fenton and unincorporated St. Louis County,
Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 18th day of December, 1990 and formally executed on
the 8th day of January, 1991 by said contractor and by the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 13, 1991.
