HomeMy Public PortalAbout08296 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8296 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Nine Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($1,985,600.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Jack - Dellwood to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Black Jack Creek Subtrunk Sanitary Relief Sewer - Phase I (87004), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Purler-Cannon-Schulte, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million Seven Hundred Forty Thousand Three Hundred Seventy Dollars ($1,740,370.00), and the cost of inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement charges, and allowance for construction change orders is Two Hundred Forty-Five Thousand Two Hundred Thirty Dollars ($245,230.00), and WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute One Million Seventy-Seven Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-Six Dollars ($1,077,566.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Jack - Dellwood, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Nine Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($1,985,600.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Jack - Dellwood to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Black Jack Creek Subtrunk Sanitary Relief Sewer - Phase I (87004), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Purler-Cannon-Schulte, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Black Jack Creek Subtrunk Sanitary Relief Sewer - Phase I (87004) in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 28th day of December, 1990 and formally executed on the 8th day of January, 1991 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 13, 1991.
