HomeMy Public PortalAbout08302 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8302 AN ORDINANCE, repealing Ordinance No. 5903, adopted February 27, 1985, prescribing the times for holding regular and special meetings of the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and enacting a new ordinance in lieu thereof on the same subject. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Ordinance No. 5903, adopted February 27, 1985, is hereby repealed. Section Two. The Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District shall hold regular meetings monthly at a time and date prescribed by the Board. Section Three. All meetings of the Board of Trustees, whether regular or special, shall be held at such time and place within the District as prescribed by the Board. Section Four. The Board of Trustees may hold special meetings whenever, in the opinion of the Chairman of the Board, the business and interest of the District may so require. It shall also be the duty of the Chairman to call a special meeting upon the request of any two members of the Board. Section Five. Notice of the time and place of any meeting (of the Board) shall be given to all members of the Board by the Secretary-Treasurer in the manner as may be prescribed by resolution of the Board and by publication thereof at least 24 hours prior thereto either by publication in a newspaper of general circulation within the boundaries of the District, or by posting of notice thereof at a public place within the boundaries of the District for at least 24 hours prior to the date and time of such meeting. The notice requirements set out herein may be waived upon a showing of good cause that such notice is impossible or impractical, in which case as much notice as is reasonably possible shall be given. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 13, 1991.
