AN ORDINANCE, repealing Ordinance No. 203, adopted June 25, 1958 as
amended by Ordinance No. 5039, adopted April 13, 1983, and transferring the
funds in the Emergency Fund established by Ordinance No. 203 to the Emergency
Fund created by this ordinance.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST.
LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. Ordinance No. 203, as adopted June 25, 1958 as
amended by Ordinance No. 5039, as adopted April 13, 1983, is hereby repealed.
Section Two. All funds in the Emergency Fund created by Ordinance
No. 203 as amended by Ordinance No. 5039, are hereby transferred to the
Emergency Fund established by this ordinance.
Section Three. An administrative special fund to be known as the
"Emergency Fund" is hereby created. The Emergency Fund shall have as its
purpose the provision of monetary resources to pay for emergency repairs,
maintenance and reconstruction of District facilities, expenditures of which
are not included in the budgeting and appropriation of annual revenues.
Periodic review shall be made by the Board of Trustees to insure the adequacy
of the funding of said Emergency Fund.
Section Four. Moneys in such fund may be established and
maintained from any or all of the following sources:
(a) Appropriations from the general funds of the District when
available.
(b) Income earned by the deposit or investment at interest of
such fund or a part thereof.
(c) Any other source permitted by law.

Section Five. No expenditure shall be made from this fund unless
authorized or ratified by appropriate ordinance.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 13, 1991.
