HomeMy Public PortalAbout08316 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8316 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Sixty-eight Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($468,625.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in GC-4 Sanitary Relief Sewer - Phase III (89064), in the City of Crestwood, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Four Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Four and 20/100 Dollars ($425,004.20), and the cost of inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement charges, and allowance for construction change orders is Forty-three Thousand Six Hundred Twenty and 80/100 Dollars ($43,620.80), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Sixty-eight Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($468,625.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in GC-4 Sanitary Relief Sewer - Phase III (89064), in the City of Crestwood, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in GC-4 Sanitary Relief Sewer - Phase III 2 (89064), in the City of Crestwood, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of January, 1991 and formally executed on the 12th day of February, 1991 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 13, 1991.
