HomeMy Public PortalAbout08317 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8317 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($8,150.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Paddock Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in New Florissant #1005 (90131), in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Kelpe Construction Company for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Six Thousand Six Hundred Forty-six Dollars ($6,646.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs and allowance for construction change orders is One Thousand Five Hundred Four Dollars ($1,504.00), and WHEREAS, St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to its $5 Million Stormwater Bond Issue Program, has agreed to contribute Four Thousand Seventy- five Dollars ($4,075.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Paddock Creek, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Eight Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($8,150.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Paddock Creek to be used for project costs for 2 the construction of storm sewers in New Florissant #1005 (90131), in the City of Florissant, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Kelpe Construction Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in New Florissant #1005 (90131), in the City of Florissant, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 25th day of January, 1991 and formally executed on the 12th day of February, 1991 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 13, 1991.
