HomeMy Public PortalAbout08325 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8325 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing and directing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to extend its lease with the owners of certain real property in St. Louis County, Missouri for the purpose of reclamation of the property (the Meramec Bottom Lagoon), and to execute a lease extension agreement upon the terms and conditions hereinafter set out. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 5519, adopted February 8, 1984, authorized the lease of said property by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and WHEREAS, said property has been used in the past by The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District for the purpose of maintaining thereon a sanitary sewage treatment facility; and WHEREAS, the terms of said lease dated February 8, 1984 require that upon termination of the lease The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District deliver the possession of the real property in substantially the same and in as good condition as at the commencement of the lease; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby authorized and directed to extend its lease with William J. Leitner and Virginia L. Leitner, of certain real estate located on Meramec Bottom Road in St. Louis County, Missouri for the purpose of reclaiming and restoring the property to its original condition, upon the terms and conditions hereinafter set out. Section Two. The lease shall be extended for a period of one year ending February 28, 1992, at the annual rental of Three Thousand Three Hundred 2 Dollars ($3,300.00). Section Three. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby authorized and directed to execute a lease extension agreement giving effect to Sections One and Two hereof, and embodying such other terms and conditions as approved by the office of the General Counsel. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 13, 1991.
