AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of Four Million
Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,200,000.00) from the Clean Water Capital
Improvement Trust Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the
Bissell Point Maintenance Center and Thickening Facilities (BP-15, 91006) at
the Bissell Point Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri; and confirming a contract with J.S. Alberici Construction Co., Inc.
for the construction of the aforesaid contract, in compliance with Section
9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 8238 adopted December 12, 1990 appropriated
the initial funding for the Gravity Belt Thickeners, which have been assigned
to this contract for installation, and
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Maintenance Center and
Thickening Facilities is Thirteen Million Six Hundred Twenty-nine Thousand
Dollars ($13,629,000.00), and the allowance for change orders is Six Hundred
Seventy-one Thousand Dollars ($671,000.00), and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 7.120 of the Plan of the District, the
appropriation effected herein will not result in a deficit at the end of the
current budget year,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,200,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Clean Water Capital Improvement
Trust Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Maintenance
Center and Thickening Facilities (BP-15, 91006) at the Bissell Point Wastewater
Treatment Plant, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.

Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director
to J.S. Alberici Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for
the construction of the Maintenance Center and Thickening Facilities (BP-15,
91006) at the Bissell Point Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the City of St.
Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 28th day of February, 1991 and formally
executed on the 12th day of March, 1991 by said contractor and by the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed,
in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 10, 1991.
