A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ALLOWfNG
FOR THE USE OF STAFF TIME TO FACILITATE THE HANGING OF STREET
BANNERS THREE (3) TIMES ANNUALLY TO ADVERTISE CLASS REGISI"RATION
FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE
WHEREAS, a request for assistance was made by the EI Camino College
Compton Center to have the City of Lynwood hang street banners; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood recognizes that the purpose
of these street banners is to advertise class registration for the local community college;
and
WHEREAS, the EI Camino College Compton Center has been identified as the
community college that services the Lynwood area; and
WHEREAS, typically the need to advertise community college class registration
occurs three (3) times annually, namely in the spring, summer and fall. ,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Lynwood will provide support services to hang street
banners advertising community college class registration, three (3) times annually;
spring, summer, and fall.
Section 2. Any cost associated with the City of Lynwood's participation in said
hanging of banners is approved as in-kind services only; no monetary expenditures will

Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1St day of July 2008.
