HomeMy Public PortalAboutTOL PR 2013-06-24 4th of July trash collection Town of Leesburg News Release For Immediate Release Changes to Leesburg Refuse & Recycling Collection Schedule Over the 4th of July Holiday Leesburg, VA (June 24, 2013) – There will be no recycling or yard waste collection for residents in the Town of Leesburg on Thursday, July 4, 2013, due to the 4th of July Holiday. The recycling and yard waste collection schedule for residential customers will be shifted by one day. Residents in the Southwest and Southeast Quadrants of Town, including South King Street and West Market Street, will have recycling and yard waste collected on Friday, July 5, 2013. Residents in the Northeast and Northwest Quadrants, including North King Street and East Market Street, will have recycling and yard waste collected on Saturday, July 6, 2013. Commercial curbside business customers in the Historic Downtown will not have trash or recycling collected on Thursday, July 4, 2013. Trash and recycling will be collected on Friday, July 5, 2013, for commercial curbside customers. Bulk items will be collected on Friday, July 5, 2013, as usual. However, requests for item pick- up must be received by 12 noon on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. Residents can place pick-up requests via email (trash@leesburgva.gov), the Town website (www.leesburgva.gov/bulkitempickup) or phone (703-771-2790).
