AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Twenty-four Thousand Seven
Hundred Dollars ($24,700.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of
River des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction
of storm sewers in Flora #9746 (86186), in the City of Overland,
Missouri; and confirming a contract with Truss Brothers
Construction, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm
sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the
District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm
sewers is Nineteen Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety Dollars
($19,990.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, and allowance for
construction change orders is Four Thousand Seven Hundred Ten
Dollars ($4,710.00), and
WHEREAS, the City of Overland, Missouri has agreed to
contribute Twelve Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars
($12,350.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon the
receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be
returned to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of the University City Branch of River des Peres,
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Twenty-four Thousand Seven
Hundred Dollars ($24,700.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the
University City Branch of River des Peres to be used for project
costs for the construction of storm sewers in Flora #9746 (86186),
in the City of Overland, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Truss Brothers Construction, Inc. as the
lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in
Flora #9746 (86186), in the City of Overland, Missouri, with The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 21st day of March, 1991 and formally executed on
the 9th day of April 1991, by said contractor and by the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is
hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of
the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
