HomeMy Public PortalAbout08384 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8384 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty-six Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty Dollars ($56,720.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in St. Alfred Road #11 (89096), in the City of Olivette, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Bommarito Construction Company for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Forty-six Thousand Seven Dollars ($46,007.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Ten Thousand Seven Hundred Twelve and 25/100 Dollars ($10,712.25), and WHEREAS, the City of Olivette, Missouri has agreed to contribute Twenty-eight Thousand Three Hundred Sixty Dollars ($28,360.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: 2 Section One. The sum of Fifty-six Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty Dollars ($56,720.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in St. Alfred Road #11 (89096), in the City of Olivette, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Bommarito Construction Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in St. Alfred Road #11 (89096), in the City of Olivette, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th day of April, 1991 and formally executed on the 7th day of May, 1991 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 19, 1991.
