AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eighteen Thousand Six
Hundred Dollars ($18,600.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of the Shrewsbury Branch of River
des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of
storm sewers in St. Vincent 4800-4900 Block (90240), in the City
of Shrewsbury, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Truss
Brothers Construction, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid
storm sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the
District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm
sewers is Fourteen Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-nine and 50/100
Dollars ($14,989.50), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, and allowance for
construction change orders is Three Thousand Six Hundred Ten and
50/100 Dollars ($3,610.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eighteen Thousand Six Hundred
Dollars ($18,600.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the Shrewsbury
Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in St. Vincent 4800-4900 Block

(90240), in the City of Shrewsbury, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Truss Brothers Construction, Inc. as the
lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in
St. Vincent 4800-4900 Block (90240), in the City of Shrewsbury,
Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant
to bids received and opened on the 1st day of May, 1991 and
formally executed on the 11th day of June, 1991 by said contractor
and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040
of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
