HomeMy Public PortalAbout08436 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8436 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Ninety-eight Thousand Dollars ($798,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in TM-2 Ballas Road Sanitary Relief Phase II (89065), in the City of Frontenac and Village of Huntleigh, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Six Hundred Ninety Thousand Two Hundred Twenty-six and 30/100 Dollars ($690,226.30), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-three and 70/100 Dollars ($107,773.70), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Ninety-eight Thousand Dollars ($798,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in TM-2 Ballas Road Sanitary Relief Phase II (89065), in the City of Frontenac and Village of Huntleigh, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in TM-2 Ballas Road Sanitary Relief Phase II (89065), in the City of Frontenac and Village of Huntleigh, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 6th day of June, 1991 and formally executed on the 18th day of June, 1991 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 9, 1991.
