HomeMy Public PortalAbout08467 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8467 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Sixty-three Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($263,200.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in WW1-WW4 Warson Woods Phase III (89063), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and confirming a contract with J.H. Berra Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Two Hundred Twenty-four Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-two Dollars ($224,682.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs and allowance for construction change orders is Thirty-eight Thousand Five Hundred Eighteen Dollars ($38,518.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Sixty-three Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($263,200.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in WW1-WW4 Warson Woods Phase III (89063), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to J.H. Berra Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in WW1-WW4 Warson Woods Phase III (89063), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 27th day of June, 1991 and formally executed on the 8th day of July, 1991 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 14, 1991.
