AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thirty-one
Thousand Dollars ($131,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Coldwater
Creek Sludge Line Phase V (91104), in St. Louis County, Missouri;
and confirming a contract with Karsten Equipment Company for the
construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary
sewers in Ninety-eight Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-Eight Dollars
($98,988.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, easement charges and
allowance for construction change orders is Thirty-two Thousand
Twelve Dollars ($32,012.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thirty-one
Thousand Dollars ($131,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction
of sanitary sewers in Coldwater Creek Sludge Line Phase V (91104),
in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Coldwater Creek Sludge Line Phase V (91104), in St. Louis County,
Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant
to bids received and opened on the 11th day of July, 1991 and
formally executed on the 13th day of August, 1991 by said contract
and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040
of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 14, 1991.
