AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Twenty-one Thousand Dollars
($21,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Mississippi River to be used for project costs
for the construction of storm sewers in Shepley & Presley (S-1715,
C-1344) in St. Louis County, Missouri; and confirming a contract
with Bommarito Construction Company for the construction of the
aforesaid storm sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the
Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm
sewers is Sixteen Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-two and 50/100
Dollars ($16,962.50), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and
allowance for construction change orders is Four Thousand Thirty-
seven and 50/100 Dollars ($4,037.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Twenty-one Thousand Dollars
($21,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Mississippi River
to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers
in Shepley & Presley (S-1715, C-1344), in St. Louis County,
Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Bommarito Construction Company as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Shepley
& Presley (S-1715, C-1344), in St. Louis County, Missouri, with
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 19th day of September, 1991 and
formally executed on the 1st day of October, 1991 by said
contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 2, 1991.
