AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Ninety-two
Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($292,700.00) from the Improvement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Telegraph Interceptor Phase II Section A (90182), in St.
Louis County, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Fred M.
Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary
sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the
District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary
sewers is Two Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Four Hundred Eighty-
three and 45/100 Dollars ($235,483.45), and the cost of
engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement
costs, easement charges, and allowance for construction change
orders is Fifty-seven Thousand Two Hundred Sixteen and 55/100
Dollars ($57,216.55), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Ninety-two
Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($292,700.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Telegraph
Interceptor Phase II Section A (90182), in St. Louis County,
Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Telegraph Interceptor Phase II Section A (90182), in St. Louis
County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 21st day of October,
1991 and formally executed on the 5th day of November, 1991 by
said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 6, 1991.
