AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Four Hundred
Twenty-five Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-five Dollars
($1,425,825.00) from the Coldwater Creek Sewer Extension and
Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the Coldwater
Creek Treatment Plant Bar Screen Replacement (89189), in St. Louis
County, Missouri; confirming a contract with Korte-Plocher
Company, Inc. for the aforesaid replacement, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the
District to enter into a contract with Horner & Shifrin, Inc. for
Step III inspection services for the aforesaid replacement.
WHEREAS, the bid for said bar screen replacement is One
Million One Hundred Seventy-four Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($1,174,500.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, and allowance for
construction change orders is Two Hundred Fifty-one Thousand Three
Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($251,325.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Four Hundred
Twenty-five Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-five Dollars
($1,425,825.00) is hereby appropriated from the Coldwater Creek
Sewer Extension and Improvement Fund to be used for project costs
for the Coldwater Creek Treatment Plant Bar Screen Replacement
(89189), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Korte-Plocher Company, Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the Coldwater Creek Treatment Plant Bar
Screen Replacement (89189), in St. Louis County, Missouri, with
the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 24th day of October, 1991 and formally
executed on the 5th day of November, 1991 by said contractor and
by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the
District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of
the Plan of the District.
Section Three. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized to enter into a contact with
Horner & Shifrin, Inc. for Step III inspection services for the
Coldwater Creek Treatment Plant Bar Screen Replacement (89189), in
St. Louis County, Missouri, said contract to be comprised of such
terms and conditions as are approved by the office of the General
Counsel of the District.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 11, 1991.
