Home My Public Portal About08543 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8543 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($270,000.00) from the Coldwater Creek Sewer Extension and Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Coldwater Creek Sludge Line Phase IV (91064), in the City of Black Jack, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Purler-Cannon-Schulte, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Two Hundred Twenty-two Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-three Dollars ($222,653.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Forty-seven Thousand Three Hundred Forty-seven Dollars ($47,347.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($270,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Coldwater Creek Sewer Extension and Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Coldwater Creek Sludge Line Phase IV (91064), in the City of Black Jack, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Purler-Cannon-Schulte, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Coldwater Creek Sludge Line Phase IV (91064), in the City of Black Jack, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of November, 1991 and formally executed on the 10th day of December, 1991 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 11, 1991.
