AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Forty-nine Thousand Dollars
($49,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Watkins Creek to be used for project costs for
the construction of slope protection at Bellabrook #1240 (90163)
in the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri; and confirming a
contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. for the
construction of the aforesaid storm sewers, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm
sewers is Thirty-eight Thousand Three Hundred Two Dollars
($38,302.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, and allowance for
construction change orders is Ten Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-
eight Dollars ($10,698.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Forty-nine Thousand Dollars
($49,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Watkins Creek to
be used for project costs for the construction of slope protection
at Bellabrook #1240 (90163), in the City of Bellefontaine
Neighbors, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. as the
lowest responsible bidder for the construction of slope protection
at Bellabrook #1240 (90163), in the City of Bellefontaine
Neighbors, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 31st day of
October, 1991 and formally executed on the 10th day of December,
1991 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed,
in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 11, 1991.
