BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING
TUESDAY, JANUARY 4, 2011 AT 7:OOPM

Present: Dan Brightman, Chairman, Keith Johnson, Vice Chairman, Joanne Hughes, James
Reynolds, Lem Skidmore, Nancy Ellis Ice, Health Director and Tammi Mason, Senior Department
Assistant.
VNA-meeting with Kathy Berry, new Public Health & Wellness Contracts Coordinator
Mary Devlin introduced Kathy Berry to the Board.
2. J.M. O'Reilly-continued variance request hearing for 19 Muskrat Lane
Withdrawn.
3. J.M. O'Reilly-variance request for 67 Carver Road
The following variances are being requested:
1. Top of SAS not within 3' of finished grade-2' variance requested
2. Top of distribution box not within 3' of finished grade-1' variance requested
JO told the Board that this house is currently a 5 bedroom. The owners would like to put an addition
on that would increase it to a 6 bedroom home. They will be using the existing septic tank.
Motion: JR-grant variances as requested. KJ seconded. 5 yes.
4. J.M. O'Reilly-approval of shared septic system for 157 South Orleans Road
The Board previously approved a preliminary plan for this. They now need approval for the final plan.
Motion: JR-approve shared septic system for 157 South Orleans Road. JH seconded. 5 yes.
5. Peter Thibert-application for Body Art Practitioner
Mr. Thibert explained to the Board that he did not have an establishment yet. He is in the process of
looking for one. The Board had questions about the school Mr. Thibert attended. They wanted to
know if it was accredited or not. The person that signed the certificate was not affiliated with the
school according to the website. The Board asked if he had taken a Physiology and Anatomy class
which is required. A transcript of classes taken is required. The Board suggested that Mr. Thibert look
into all the items that were discussed.
NI will put in writing the exact things the Board is looking for. Mr. Thibert asked to withdraw his
application until he could look into the items discussed with the Board. The Board was fine with that.

6. Discuss Planning Board application for 1515 Freeman's Way
The Board asked that Nancy Ice send the Planning Board a copy of the Sand & Gravel Mining
regulation and an explanation of what the Board granted to the owner previously.
7. Health Director's mid-year review
Nancy Ice gave an update on her objectives. DB will complete the review.
Bills to be paid:
1. VNA Flu clinic $85.00
2. VNA November Expenses $1395.00
3. Nancy Ellis Ice December mileage $12.00

Shyne.
