HomeMy Public PortalAbout08548 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8548 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($117,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Mississippi River to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Rauhut Avenue #339 Storm Sewer (90236), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Bommarito Construction Company for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Eighty-six Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-six and 90/100 Dollars ($86,966.90), and the cost of engineering, survey, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement charges, connection fees and allowance for construction change orders is Thirty Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-three and 10/100 Dollars ($30,533.10), and WHEREAS, St. Louis County, Missouri has agreed to contribute Twenty-two Thousand Dollars ($22,000.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Mississippi River, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($117,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Mississippi River to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Rauhut Avenue #339 Storm Sewer (90236), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Bommarito Construction Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Rauhut Avenue #339 Storm Sewer (90236), in St. Louis County, Missouri, with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 25th day of November, 1991 and formally executed on the 10th day of December, 1991 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 11, 1991.
