A RESOLUTION- OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO FIND THE CITY
TO BE IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY
CONGESTION .MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (CMP) AND ADOPTING THE
CITY'S CMP LOCAL DEVELOPMENT REPORT, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 65089, ET SEQ
WHEREAS, the CMP statute requires the Los Angeles County
Metropolitan Transportation Authority ("Metro"), acting as the Congestion
Management Agency for the Los Angeles County, to annually determine that the
County and cities within the County are conforming to all CMP requirements; and
WHEREAS, each local jurisdiction is responsible for self-certifying their
conformance with the CMP through the adoption of a local resolution; and
WHEREAS, CMP procedures require the City to hold a public hearing to
receive public comments.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Notice is hereby given that on August 19, 2008, at the hour of
5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 11.330 Bullis Road, Lynwood,
California, is the date, hour and place fixed for the public hearing to receive
comments related to the City of Lynwood's conformance with the CMP for fiscal
year 2007-2008.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5t" day of August, 2008.
