HomeMy Public PortalAbout08569 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8569 AN ORDINANCE, transferring Sixty-two Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-five Dollars ($62,475.00) from the Mississippi River Construction Fund to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Mississippi River, and appropriating One Million One Hundred Thirty-nine Thousand Dollars ($1,139,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Mississippi River to be used for the project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Grand and Bates Relief - Phase I (90006) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Purler-Cannon-Schulte, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Nine Hundred Seventy-nine Thousand Three Hundred Thirty- nine Dollars ($979,339.00), and the costs of engineering, survey, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement charges, connection fees and allowance for construction change orders, is One Hundred Fifty-nine Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-one Dollars ($159,661.00), and WHEREAS, the State of Missouri, has agreed to contribute Two Hundred Seventy-six Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty- nine Dollars ($276,769.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Mississippi River, and 2 WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis, Missouri has agreed to contribute Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) toward the total costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Mississippi River, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Sixty-two Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-five Dollars ($62,475.00) is hereby transferred from the Mississippi River Construction Fund to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Mississippi River. Section Two. The sum of One Million One Hundred Thirty-nine Thousand Dollars ($1,139,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Mississippi River to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Grand and Bates Relief Phase I (90006), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Three. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Purler-Cannon-Schulte, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in 3 Grand and Bates Relief Phase I (90006), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of November, 1991 and formally executed on the 10th day of December, 1991 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 4 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 8, 1992.
