AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Sixty-seven
Thousand Dollars ($267,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for
project costs for the construction of storm and sanitary sewers in
January Ave. to Blueberry Ln. (90229), in the City of Berkeley,
Missouri; and confirming a contract with Karsten Equipment Company
for the construction of the aforesaid storm and sanitary sewers,
in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm and
sanitary sewers is Two Hundred Twenty-eight Thousand Seven Hundred
Sixty-eight Dollars ($228,768.00), and the cost of engineering,
inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement
charges, and allowance for construction change orders is Thirty-
eight Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-two Dollars ($38,232.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Sixty-seven
Thousand Dollars ($267,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction
of storm and sanitary sewers in January Ave. to Blueberry Ln.
(90229), in the City of Berkeley, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of storm and sanitary
sewers in January Ave. to Blueberry Ln. (90229), in the City of
Berkeley, Missouri, with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 9th day of
December, 1991 and formally executed on the 7th day of January,
1992 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed,
in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 8, 1992.
