HomeMy Public PortalAbout08614 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8614 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty-eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($68,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Grasso Lane to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Tiemann 4600 Block (89009) in St. Louis County, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Forty-five Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($45,400.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-three Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($23,100.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Sixty-eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($68,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Grasso Lane to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Tiemann 4600 Block (89009), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Tiemann 4600 Block (89009), in St. Louis County, Missouri, with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 30th day of January, 1992 and formally executed on the 10th day of March, 1992 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 11, 1992.
