AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Forty Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($40,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of the Shrewsbury Branch of River
des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of
storm sewers in Nottingham-Brunswick (86118) in the City of
Shrewsbury, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Bommarito
Construction Company for the construction of the aforesaid storm
sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the
District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm
sewers is Twenty-nine Thousand Two Hundred Eighty-five and 70/100
Dollars ($29,285.70), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and
allowance for construction change orders is Eleven Thousand Two
Hundred Fourteen and 30/100 Dollars ($11,214.30), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Forty Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($40,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the Shrewsbury
Branch of River des Peres to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Nottingham-Brunswick (86118), in
the City of Shrewsbury, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Bommarito Construction Company as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in
Nottingham-Brunswick (86118), in the City of Shrewsbury, Missouri,
with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 30th day of January, 1992 and formally
executed on the 10th day of March, 1992 by said contractor and by
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the
District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of
the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 11, 1992.
