HomeMy Public PortalAbout08616 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8616 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Eighty-nine Thousand Dollars ($289,000.00) from the Coldwater Creek Sewer Extension and Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Parker Road Sanitary Relief - Section A (89044), in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Bates Utility Company for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Two Hundred Forty-three Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy- nine Dollars ($243,779.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Forty-five Thousand Two Hundred Twenty-one Dollars ($45,221.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Eighty-nine Thousand Dollars ($289,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Coldwater Creek Sewer Extension and Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Parker Road Sanitary Relief- Section A (89044), in the City of Florissant, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Bates Utility Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Parker Road Sanitary Relief - Section A (89044), in the City of Florissant, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 31st day of January, 1992 and formally executed on the 10th day of March, 1992 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 11, 1992.
