AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Sixteen
Thousand Three Hundred Thirty Dollars ($116,330.00) from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Gravois Creek to be used for project costs for the rebuilding
and/or replacing inlets, manholes, inlet manholes, and replacing
sewer pipe in Infrastructure Repair Number 046 (92016), in the
Cities of Crestwood, Kirkwood, Oakland, Sunset Hills and/or
unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and confirming a
contract with J.H. Berra Construction Company, Inc. for the
rebuilding and/or replacing said inlets, manholes and inlet
manholes, and replacing said sewer pipe, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rebuilding and/or replacing
said inlets, manholes and inlet manholes, and replacing said sewer
pipe is One Hundred Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($100,300.00),
and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking,
advertisement costs, and allowance for construction change orders
is Sixteen Thousand Thirty Dollars ($16,030.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Sixteen Thousand
Three Hundred Thirty Dollars ($116,330.00) is hereby appropriated
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund
of Gravois Creek to be used for project costs for the rebuilding
and/or replacing inlets, manholes, inlet manholes and replacing
sewer pipe in Infrastructure Repair Number 046 (92016), in the
Cities of Crestwood, Kirkwood, Oakland, Sunset Hills, and/or
unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to J.H. Berra Construction Company, Inc. as the
lowest responsible bidder for the rebuilding and/or replacing
inlets, manholes, inlet manholes and replacing sewer pipe in
Infrastructure Repair Number 046 (92016), in the Cities of
Crestwood, Kirkwood, Oakland, Sunset Hills and/or unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 19th day of
February, 1992 and formally executed on the 10th day of March 1992
by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 11, 1992.
