AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty-four Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($54,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project
costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in WW-5 Chelsea to
Glenway Sanitary Relief Phase I (90092), in the City of Glendale,
Missouri; and confirming a contract with J.H. Berra Construction
Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary
sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the
District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary
sewers is Forty-five Thousand One Hundred Seventy-eight Dollars
($45,178.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs and allowance for
construction change orders is Nine Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-
two Dollars ($9,322.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Fifty-four Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($54,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of
sanitary sewers in WW-5 Chelsea to Glenway Sanitary Relief Phase I
(90092), in the City of Glendale, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to J.H. Berra Construction Company, Inc. as the
lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers
in WW-5 Chelsea to Glenway Sanitary Relief Phase I (90092), in the
City of Glendale, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 27th day of
March, 1992 and formally executed on the 28th day of April, 1992
by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in
compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
