HomeMy Public PortalAbout08718 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8718 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating a total of Two Hundred Sixteen Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($216,400.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of a sheet pile retaining wall and appurtenances in Infrastructure Repair #034 (Humes Lane) 90273, in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Tarlton Corporation for the construction of the aforesaid sheet pile retaining wall and appurtenances, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sheet pile retaining wall and appurtenances is One Hundred Seventy Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-five Dollars ($170,385.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Forty-six Thousand Fifteen Dollars ($46,015.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named funds sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Sixteen Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($216,400.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction 2 of a sheet pile retaining wall and appurtenances in Infrastructure Repair #034 (Humes Lane) 90273, in the City of Florissant, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Tarlton Corporation as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of a sheet pile retaining wall and appurtenances in Infrastructure Repair #034 (Humes Lane) 90273, in the City of Florissant, Missouri, with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 26th day of June, 1992 and formally executed on the 7th day of July, 1992 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 8, 1992.
