AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($600,000.00) from the Reserve for Real Property Purchase,
Improvements and Alterations Fund for the purchase of certain real
property and improvements thereon in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri, known and numbered as 4401 Hampton Avenue; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to purchase
from the owners thereof the aforementioned real property.
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Reserve for Real
Property Purchase, Improvements and Alterations Fund for the
purchase of certain real property and improvements thereon, in the
City of St. Louis, Missouri, known and numbered as 4401 Hampton
Avenue.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of the Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to purchase from the owners thereof the
following real property and improvements thereon in the City of
St. Louis, Missouri, known and numbered as 4401 Hampton Avenue, at
a price not to exceed Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($600,000.00),

said property to be free from all liens and encumbrances, and more
particularly described as follows:
Lots 30, 31, 32 and 33 in Block 2 of HAMPTON HILLS and in Block 6315 of the City of St. Louis, together fronting 200 feet on the West line of Hampton Avenue by a depth westwardly of 150 feet along the South line of said Lot 33 and of 153.02 feet along the North line of said Lot 30 to an alley, having together a width thereon of 230.23 feet; EXCEPTING THEREFROM a triangular strip 10.20 feet by 10 feet in the Northeast corner of said Lot 30 dedicated for street purposes; Bounded on the North by Sutherland Avenue; FURTHER EXCEPTING THEREFROM the land adjacent to the parcel conveyed hereby which lies under Hampton and Sutherland Avenue. The above parcels are found in Section 34, Township 45 North, Range 6 East of St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Three. Upon the execution and delivery to them
by said owners of a Warranty Deed in proper form, being free from
liens and encumbrances, conveying title to said land and
improvements thereon to the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized to pay to said owners for said real property and
improvements thereon a total sum not to exceed Six Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($600,000.00).
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
