HomeMy Public PortalAbout08874 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8874 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Sixty-seven Thousand Dollars ($767,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Black Creek Channel Phase III (90168), in the City of Brentwood, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Bangert Brothers Construction Company for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Six Hundred Fifty-eight Thousand Four Hundred Seven and 20/100 Dollars ($658,407.20), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Eight Thousand Five Hundred Ninety-two and 80/100 Dollars ($108,592.80), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Sixty-seven Thousand Dollars ($767,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Black Creek Channel Phase III (90168), in the City of 2 Brentwood, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Bangert Brothers Construction Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Black Creek Channel Phase III (90168), in the City of Brentwood, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of December, 1992 and formally executed on the 15th day of January, 1993 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 10, 1993.
