HomeMy Public PortalAbout2863-1973 - Transfer - Fire Department - From various line items to other various line itemsORDINANCE NO. 2863-1973 AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER WITHIN THE BUDGET OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,400.00) FROM FREIGHT & EXPRESS (2-21-211) "SERVICES CONTRAC.'.` TO OTHER GARAGE & MOTOR SUPPLIES (3-32-324) "SUPPLIES" ($125.00); FROM GAS (2-22-222) "SERVICES CONT." TO FUEL OIL (3-312) "SUPPLIES" ($575.00); FROM ELECTRIC CURRENT (2-22-221) "SERVICES CONT."($300.00) AND FROM REPAIR TO BLDG. & STRUCTURES (2-25-251) ($600.00) TO GASOLINE (3-32-321); FROM BLDG. & FIXED EQUIPMENT (7-71-711) "PROPERTIES" ($350.00) AND FROM BUILDING MATERIALS (4-41) ($250.00) TO REPAIR PARTS "MATERIALS" (4-43) ($600.00) AND FROM OTHER EQUIPMENT (7-72-726) "PROPERTIES" TO OTHER SUPPLIES (3-37) "SUPPLIES" ($200.00). WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for various functions of the City Government than was appropriated to the annual budget. SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1973 , the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures to be made during the year unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appropriated the following speci- fied amount to meet the extraordinary emergency that exists: AMOUNT REQUESTED OTHER GARAGE & MOTOR SUPPLIES (3-32-324) $ 125.00 FUEL OIL (3-312) 575.00 GASOLINE (3-32-321) 900.00 REPAIR PARTS (4-43) 600.00 OTHER SUPPLIES (3-37) 200.00 2,400.00 SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligated balances which will not be used for purpose which appropriated. IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond. Indiana, that such unnecessary existing appropriation be now reduced in amount as follows: REQUESTED REDUCTION FREIGHT & EXPRESS (2-21-211) $ 125.00 GAS (2-22-222) 575.00 ELECTRIC CURRENT (2-22-221) 300.00 REPAIR TO BUILDING & STRUCTURES (2-25-251) 600.00 BLDG. & FIXED EQUIPMENT (7-71-711) 350.00 BUILDING MATERIALS (4-41) 250.00 OTHER EQUIPMENT ( 7-72-726) 200.00 $2,400.00 SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation. SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana, governing emergency appropriations.
