HomeMy Public PortalAbout08905 O R D I N A N C E NO. 8905 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating a total of Four Hundred Two Thousand Dollars ($402,000.00) to be funded as follows: Three Hundred Seventy-four Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($374,300.00) from the South County Sewer Operating Fund and Twenty-seven Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($27,700.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Telegraph Interceptor Phase II Section B (91007), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Karsten Equipment Company for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Three Hundred Three Thousand One Hundred Seventy-one Dollars ($303,171.00), and the cost of engineering, inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Ninety-eight Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-nine Dollars ($98,829.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The total sum of Four Hundred Two Thousand Dollars ($402,000.00) to be funded as follows: Three Hundred Seventy-four Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($374,300.00) from the South County Sewer Operating Fund and Twenty-seven Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($27,700.00) from the Improvement Fund is hereby appropriated to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Telegraph Interceptor Phase II Section B (91007), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Telegraph Interceptor Phase II Section B (91007), in St. Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of February, 1993 and formally executed on the 9th day of March, 1993 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 10, 1993.
