AN ORDINANCE, appropriating a total of Two Hundred
Twenty Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($220,500.00) to be funded as
follows: One Hundred Eighty Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($180,500.00) from the Bonfils Operating Fund and Forty Thousand
Dollars ($40,000.00) from the Missouri Bottoms Operating Fund to
be used for project costs for the installation of precast concrete
bridge sections, construction of concrete footings and wingwalls,
and asphalt roadway to be constructed at the Missouri River
Wastewater Treatment Plant in Emergency Repair No. 18 Missouri
Wastewater Treatment Plant Access Bridge (92118), in the City of
Maryland Heights, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Fred
Weber, Inc. for the aforesaid project, in compliance with Section
9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid project is One
Hundred Sixty-four Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-nine and 20/100
Dollars ($164,429.20), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, easement costs, and
allowance for construction change orders is Fifty-six Thousand
Seventy and 80/100 Dollars ($56,070.80), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The total sum of Two Hundred Twenty
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($220,500.00) to be funded as
follows: One Hundred Eighty Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($180,500.00) from the Bonfils Operating Fund and Forty Thousand
Dollars ($40,000.00) from the Missouri Bottoms Operating Fund is
hereby appropriated to be used for project costs for the
installation of precast concrete bridge sections, construction of
concrete footings and wingwalls, and asphalt roadway to be
constructed at the Missouri River Wastewater Treatment Plant in
Emergency Repair No. 18 Missouri Wastewater Treatment Plant Access
Bridge (92118), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Fred Weber, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the installation of precast concrete bridge sections,
construction of concrete footings and wingwalls, and asphalt
roadway to be constructed at the Missouri River Wastewater
Treatment Plant (92118), in the City of Maryland Heights,
Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant
to bids received and opened on the 18th day of February, 1993 and
formally executed on the 9th day of March, 1993 by said contractor
and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040
of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 10, 1993.
