AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Sixty-nine
Thousand Dollars ($269,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Clayton Central to be used for
project costs for the construction of a reinforced concrete box
culvert and appurtenances and combined sewers in East Clayton
Central Sewer - Phase III (89072), in the City of Clayton,
Missouri; and confirming a contract with Yowell Construction
Company for the aforesaid construction, in compliance with Section
9.040 of the Plan of the District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the said construction is Two
Hundred Twelve Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-three and 50/100
Dollars ($212,753.50), and the cost of engineering, inspection,
construction staking, advertisement costs, and allowance for
construction change orders is Fifty-six Thousand Two Hundred
Forty-six and 50/100 Dollars ($56,246.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Sixty-nine
Thousand Dollars ($269,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Clayton Central to be used for project costs for the construction
of a reinforced concrete box culvert and appurtenances and

combined sewers in East Clayton Central Sewer - Phase III (89072),
in the City of Clayton, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Yowell Construction Company as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of a reinforced concrete
box culvert and appurtenances and combined sewers in East Clayton
Central Sewer - Phase III (89072), in the City of Clayton,
Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant
to bids received and opened on the 5th day of March, 1993 and
formally executed on the 9th day of March, 1993 by said contractor
and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with Section 9.040
of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
