Complete Streets Prioritization Plan / schdueling a PW Committee meeting

I think it would be prudent to schedule a Public Works Committee meeting to review the DPW's proposed
submittal of the complete streets grant, and make a recommendation to the Town Council. Working backwards,
if the submittal deadline is April 1, then the Committee report must be presented at the March 27 Council
meeting, which means the Committee report must be submitted by March 22 to get on the agenda. I would like
to ask the Council for a referral at the March 13 Council meeting.
There are not a lot of free evenings, so I would like to schedule the Public Works Committee meeting for
Thursday March 15. Please let me know if you can make this date, and if you would prefer 6pm or 7pm.
I would ask the indulgence of the Council President to post this meeting in advance of the March 13 Council
meeting, to comply with the 48 hour rule. If for some reason the Council does not approve the referral, then the
meeting can be cancelled.
Please let me know ASAP.

Councilor, this is the answer we received from MassDOT regarding the timing of submitting the prioritization
plan:
We heard back from Eileen Gunn at MassDOT and her response said that April 1 is the SUBMISSION
deadline, but should there be multiple rounds of comments. that they cannot guarantee the plan will be
accepted by May 1. So submitting sooner is definitely better.
Let us know if you would like to schedule a PW Sub -committee meeting. We are in the process of getting last night's
meeting materials on the web page. Thanks.
