AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Eighty-three
Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($283,350.00) from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction
of storm sewers in Burns & Tennyson Phase I-B (90202), in the City
of Overland, Missouri; and confirming a contract with Gershenson
Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid
storm sewers, in compliance with Section 9.040 of the Plan of the
District.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm
sewers is Two Hundred Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-three and
50/100 Dollars ($207,993.50), and the cost of engineering,
inspection, construction staking, advertisement costs, easement
costs, and allowance for construction change orders is Seventy-
five Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-six and 50/100 Dollars
($75,356.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that
there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund
sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Eighty-three
Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($283,350.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs
for the construction of storm sewers in Burns & Tennyson Phase I-B
(90202), in the City of Overland, Missouri.
Section Two. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. as the
lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in
Burns & Tennyson Phase I-B (90202), in the City of Overland,
Missouri with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant
to bids received and opened on the 26th day of March, 1993 and
formally executed on the 13th day of April, 1993 by said
contractor and by the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of the District is hereby confirmed, in compliance with
Section 9.040 of the Plan of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 14, 1993.
